Hilton finishes £6m revamp of Ulster properties

Hilton Hotels have just completed a £6m investment in their Belfast and Templepatrick hotels.

The refurbishment has included a complete upgrade of over 300 bedrooms, 19 meeting rooms and a number of restaurants and bars. "We have performed well in a very difficult marketplace over the past number of years but we have no intention of resting on our laurels," Mark Walker, area general manager for Hilton in Northern Ireland said.

"We are demonstrating our commitment to the future of tourism through our substantial investment in our market-leading properties, with the objective of ensuring our current clients and new visitors can be assured of the best facilities and standards consistent with the Hilton brand.

"In anticipation of a busy few years ahead for Belfast such as the MTV awards, the 2012 Titanic celebrations and being the main gateway for visitors coming to celebrate Derry being the European city of culture, we must ensure our product is the best Europe has to offer".

The Hilton Belfast has 198 bedrooms and conferencing facilities for over 400 guests. The Hilton Templepatrick has 130 bedrooms.
