Hotel going it alone as it leaves chain
A Radisson hotel in Co Londonderry is now an independent after 16 years as part of the global hotel chain, it announced yesterday.
The Radisson Blu Roe Park Resort will become the Roe Park Resort as part of a £2.5m investment strategy by the business.
It has now ceased to be a franchise partner of Radisson Blu.
The resort, which launched the rebrand yesterday, is the only four-star venue close to the north coast.
A spokeswoman said the resort had invested £1.9m in projects over the last three years, including creating five luxury suites in the 18th century manor house, refurbishing 50 bedrooms and redeveloping its golf course.
The resort has also developed its online presence with a new website and social media campaign.
General manager George Graham said: "This rebrand marks an exciting new chapter for the Roe Park Resort. For 16 years we have been growing with the Radisson brand, with sales topping £20m in the last three years. We believe the time is now right for the Roe Park Resort to move forward as an independent brand."
