Industrial painting firm's expansion creates eight jobs

An industrial painting company in Co Armagh has created eight jobs with the opening of a new premises. A further six jobs will be created by Industrial Paint Solutions in Portadown over the next year.

The investment has been part-funded by a loan from Danske Bank. The business, now based in Charlestown Drive, was set up in 2007 and employs 26 staff.

It carries out paint and repair work in sectors including cars, industry and the building trade, in places such as the USA, China, India, Germany and more.

Managing director Richard Graham said: "We originally worked from rented properties, but a lack of space caused a bottleneck in our production.

"The facility means that we have all our operations under one roof, including a three-acre site, with room for further expansion."

He added the firm's work in industry focused on forklift parts and accounted for 50% of business.
