A Northern Ireland services company has scooped two contracts worth a combined £2.1m after attaining international accreditation.
Sodexo has won business with Almac Group (UK) in Craigavon and the Northern Ireland Civil Service at Clare House in Belfast following the awarding of the ISO 9001 quality management accreditation to the company, the first food and facilities management provider in Northern Ireland to be given it for the entire business.
It is also the first Sodexo division in the UK and Ireland to receive it for its complete business portfolio.
Sodexo employs 500 staff here based on 80 sites looking after clients in business and industry, government and healthcare.
Account director Barry Ambrose said that the ISO standard is a recognised quality management system and assures prospective clients that the level of services provided will meet the highest international standards.
"Our accreditation was the main factor in winning the contracts with Almac Group UK and the Northern Ireland Civil Service at Clare House. It's a wonderful outcome for all the hard work put in by everyone in the company from the ground up," he said.
