Law firm hands trainee solicitors full-time posts

By Margaret Canning

Law firm Walker Legal has announced it is giving full-time solicitor jobs to six former trainee solicitors.

The firm's numbers have grown from 10 to 24 in the past 18 months.

Now it has six new qualified solicitors on the team who completed their training with Walker Legal.

Andrew Walker said that he was "proud" to see the growth of the practice.

"At Walker Legal we've tried to do things differently, to work with and support our staff and to identify the highest level of service to our clients.

"That approach is bearing fruit and we now have a team to be proud of, with more announcements to come. We have launched our new branding, and opened our new Belfast offices in recent times, as well as working hard to build our profile across Northern Ireland."

The firm's solicitors are specialists in commercial dispute resolution, corporate, property, claims and family.

While it is based in Portadown it has now opened an office in Belfast's Scottish Provident Building.
