Lithuania deal for firm that already boasts Claridge's among customers
A Co Antrim outdoor furniture company which counts luxury London hotel Claridge's among its customers has landed new business in eastern Europe.
Carrickfergus-based Luxury Planter Collection is part of the biggest-ever Invest NI trade mission to the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania this week and has confirmed a major distribution deal with a new business partner in Lithuania.
The firm specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of a range of environmentally-friendly garden furniture which can be used for the disposal of cigarette waste.
Eighteen companies, cultural group the Armagh Rhymers and the University of Ulster are taking part in the week-long mission, the most recent in a programme of Invest NI trade activities in Baltic and Nordic markets.
The business in Lithuania was announced by Kyle Gallagher, Luxury Planter Collection managing director. The company will also be launching its range of products to the US marketplace at an event in New York next month.
Mr Gallagher, who founded the business in 2005, said: "We expect that the new distribution deal in Kaunas will lead to a significant increase in business in Lithuania and beyond.
"In addition, we are linking up with another company to develop a brand new product, the Replensis Flashtray, a wall-mounted ashtray made from stainless steel, which features new technology for designs that could include corporate logos or artwork for our existing and potential customers."
