London software firm is set to open a Belfast office

By Staff Reporter

A London financial software firm has said it will be looking for IT and accountancy professionals in Belfast after moving an office from India.

Arkk Solutions specialises in a computer language for the electronic transmission of business and financial data, and will be employing nine people to begin with.

The company has been supported by Invest NI's Jobs Fund to the tune of £45,000 - and said the agency's support had been essential in its decision to move.

Chief executive Richard Metcalfe said: "The move to Belfast enables us to operate within the same time zone as the rest of our business and through that support our ever growing blue chip client base."

Bill Montgomery of Invest NI said the firm had "huge potential" for growth.
