One of Northern Ireland's biggest food service and outsourcing firms has won a deal to provide bar services at the North West 200.

Mount Charles, which was recently named as one of Ireland's best managed companies for the seventh year running, has announced it has won the contract to provide bar services at the hospitality tent at the Vauxhall International North West 200 for the next three years.

The annual event, which kicks off on May 7, is Ireland's largest outdoor sporting event and attracts over 150,000 people from all over the world.

Trevor Annon, chairman of Mount Charles, said the company is focusing on growing the business in the outside events sector, in both bar and beverage services and event catering.

"This contract with the North West 200, an event of significant scale and importance to the local economy, is a strategic win that will help us further build our presence and reputation in this competitive marketplace.

"We are looking forward to building our relationship with Mervyn and the entire team over the coming three years and beyond."

Mervyn Whyte, North West 200 event director, said it was proud of the Vauxhall marquee's reputation for providing quality food and hospitality.

"I am delighted that Mount Charles, with their renowned expertise in the provision of quality dining and bar services, will be partnering the Vauxhall International North West 200."

Mount Charles recently moved to new premises on Ormeau Road in Belfast.
