Museum hospitality franchise opens new doors for catering firm

The contract will see Yellow Door manage all catering requirements for the award-winning museum, including its popular Girona café and restaurant, as well as its wedding, corporate hire and events portfolio.

Yellow Door, which is based in Portadown, currently employs 80 full-time and a further 80 part-time staff. The new Ulster Museum contract could create up to six additional full-time and 10 part-time jobs.

Gillian McLean, director of marketing, trade and communications for National Museums Northern Ireland, said: "We are delighted that Yellow Door has been appointed as caterers at the Ulster Museum.

"The Ulster Museum is one of Northern Ireland's top visitor attractions and we are keen that our world-class exhibitions are accompanied by a very high standard of hospitality."
