Nathan's Famous hot dog magnate dies

Fast food magnate Murray Handwerker, who helped grow Nathan's Famous from his father's Coney Island hot dog stand into a US national franchise, has died at his home in Florida.

The 89-year-old, who suffered from dementia, died in his sleep.

Murray Handwerker's father Nathan opened the Coney Island, New York, stand in 1916, four years after emigrating from Poland.
