Nestle health move

Nestle has unveiled a new medical nutrition business which will develop foods to help prevent and treat conditions such as diabetes, obesity and Alzheimer's disease.

The food giant said it would "pioneer a new industry between food and pharma" through its subsidiary Nestle Health Science and a research and development centre in Switzerland.

Nestle said it will pump hundreds of millions of Swiss francs over the next decade into the Nestle Institute of Health Sciences.
