New £1.5m nightclub is a timely jobs boost for town

Fifty new jobs have been created in a £1.5m investment in an entertainment venue in Tyrone.

The transformation will be completed this weekend with the opening of TIME nightclub in Cookstown tomorrow night.

Cookstown building contractor, Patrick Scullion, alongside his sister Anne, harnessed the talents of local sub-contractors and suppliers in the development of the 30,000 sq ft complex in a bid to generate business in the mid-Ulster area.

The venue, which can hold up to 950 people, houses a bar and bistro, a two-floor nightclub with three VIP rooms, five bars including cocktail bars and a split level outdoor bar and terrace.

Mr Scullion said that he purchased the James Street building in the town in January 2012 with a view to turning a good venue into a great one.

"I am confident we have a unique and exciting venue," Mr Scullion said. "But it will be the focus on quality, friendly service and attention to the customer's needs that will be our primary focus.

"Our bistro food offering has already received great reviews having been implemented by renowned chef Sean Owens.

"We are absolutely focused on delivering quality, but at an affordable level which is accessible to all and in-keeping with today's climate."

TIME will officially open its doors tomorrow.
