New arrival as baby fair is to be held in Belfast for the first time

The Pregnancy & Baby Fair - aimed at helping families get ready for a new arrival - is being held in Belfast for the first time.

The event takes place at the Odyssey Arena on March 7 and 8 and features pregnancy and baby products from top brands, as well as experts providing advice and early childhood parenting tips.

The event is now in its fifth year - and visiting Northern Ireland for the first time, with exhibitors including iCandy, Dorel, Mima, Tony Kealys and Kings Toys & Nursery.

Organisers Claire Finnan and Jennifer Shaw of Huggy Bloom Enterprises were the first candidates to secure backing from all five 'dragons' on RTE business reality show Dragons' Den.

Ms Finnan said: "We have spent years gathering feedback and viewpoints from all parents that attend our events and have found that people are not only seeking to get a bargain, but want advice about sleeping, nutrition, safety, health and exercise and much more.

"With this in mind, we will have an expert panel on hand to do just that."

Odyssey Arena general manager Adrian Doyle said: "The Odyssey Arena is delighted to host the Pregnancy and Baby Fair this March. It's been a pleasure working with Huggy Bloom Enterprises and we look forward to welcoming the exhibition to Northern Ireland for the first time."

Tickets are £7.50 per adult and available at the Odyssey Box Office and on the door on both days. Visit www.pregnancyandbabyfairni.com
