New funding needed for investment

By Clare Weir

Northern Ireland must look at alternative financing methods to help beat a widening infrastructure investment gap, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Speaking after an RICS Northern Ireland briefing for property and construction professionals - also addressed by Simon Hamilton MLA who is set to succeed the current Finance Minister - RICS Northern Ireland spokesman, Professor Alastair Adair, says that Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and other alternative methods of finance can play a crucial role in economic growth.

RICS has just published a paper, The Future of Private Finance Initiative and Public Private Partnership.
