NI Water seeks 12 for apprenticeships

NI Water has invited applicants of any age to apply for its apprenticeship programme. The company said it had 12 places available in its water function section, which would involve working on networks and on leaks.

Brian McCalmont, the company's head of water, said the programme was open to all ages. He added: "Successful trainees will undertake a water industry-focused qualification with practical skills gained from working within the water function in areas such as networks and leakage."

Over a three-year apprenticeship, recruits will complete a three-year programme to gain a Level 2 diploma in water engineering. To apply before the deadline of 2pm on January 27, visit or
