Northern Ireland Ireland logistics company McCulla has won temperature controlled operator of the year at the Motor Transport Awards. The company was set up in Lisburn in 1969 by David McCulla, and is now led by his son and daughter Ashley McCulla and Carol Thompson - managing director and finance director respectively.
Since taking over the family firm in 1992 they have grown turnover from £700,000 to £21.7m.
Mr McCulla said the firm's 200-strong team had made the win possible. "As the directors, we show the way that we're trying to go and try to set the example, but it's the staff that do the job, everybody from our drivers to our loading bay staff to the administration staff and the traffic planners."
