Northern Ireland students win university design award

Two Northern Ireland design students have been recognised for their excellent work. Ulster University art and design graduates Lynsey Anderson, from Omagh, and Newry's Niamh Hurley will share £1,000 after being jointly named emerging new designer for their print and textiles work.

The award was sponsored by Co Down bed and bath business Bedeck.

Bedeck's head of design Julie Hall, said: "At Bedeck, we're big believers in fostering emerging talent so we are delighted to be sponsoring this award for the first time."
