Northern Ireland woman launches Groupon competitor TreatTicket
A Belfast-based company is taking on Groupon and LivingSocial by launching a portal where people can buy local services and products at a discount.
In a similar vein to the US online voucher giants Northern Ireland consumers can register for free at TreatTicket.com to get daily offers sent to their inboxes each day.
TreatTicket offers deals at Northern Ireland spas, hotels, restaurants and entertainment outlets and aims to add 16 cities to its website within 14 months.
Managing Director for TreatTicket Mary McCall, said: "Everyone’s lives are so busy these days so we really need to make the time to relax and enjoy ourselves.
"Austerity is in fashion and money is tight, plus our local businesses need the people of Northern Ireland to support them - so TreatTicket works for everyone."
TreatTicket.com will also launch in Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool and Dublin in the next three months. Local businesses can apply to be featured on the site directly through the TreatTicket website.
