Northern Ireland's first new enterprise zone unveiled in Coleraine
Northern Ireland's first enterprise zone, worth around £2.7m, is hoping to draw in tech firms and entrepreneurs to the north coast.
Atlantic Link Campus is being unveiled by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council near Ulster University's Coleraine campus this morning.
The 20-acre site, which could then double in size, will include US tech firm 5Nines as its anchor tenant.
Entrepreneur Eileen Burbidge, who has worked for Yahoo, Skype and Apple, is helping to unveil the new zone.
"Based on the successes from other existing enterprise zones, for example 45 across England which have created 400 new businesses, employ more than 12,500 people and attracted more than £2bn in private investment, I'm incredibly optimistic about the value creation which can come from the Atlantic Link Campus," she said.
