Northgate makes the grade with £17m education contract
Co Antrim IT company Northgate Managed Services has secured a £170m five-year contract with Classroom 2000 (C2k).
Northgate in Newtownabbey has been appointed by C2k to provide the new Education Network Northern Ireland (ENNI) contract.
The company will be responsible for all aspects of the service including wide area network, local area network and telecoms which will be delivered in partnership with its sub-contractor Eircom.
Northgate will design, implement, manage and support Europe's first education cloud environment for schools in Northern Ireland, providing secure access to resources online.
C2k was set up to support the use of IT in schools in Northern Ireland. It is managed by the Western Education and Library Board.
