Prestigious former Patton site on sale for £100,000

By Margaret Canning

A residential site which belonged to former building giant David Patton & Sons has gone on the market.

O'Connor Kennedy Turtle (OKT) is selling the 0.2-acre site at Old Galgorm Road in Ballymena for £100,000. It's understood the sale is one of the final disposals from the liquidation of Patton.

According to OKT, the site is in a "prestige residential suburb" close to the town's schools as well as the Galgorm Golf Complex and Galgorm Resort and Spa.

The site has outline planning consent for a dwelling and garage.

Patton was one of Northern Ireland's most successful property and fit-out companies until it went into administration in 2012 with debts of around £60m.

Business advisory firm Keenan CF was appointed administrators and later, liquidators, and has instructed OKT in the sale.

Meanwhile, OKT is also selling a site on Dromore Road in Omagh for £200,000 with planning permission for eight homes, on behalf of Keenan CF.
