A Lisburn company has won a contract to distribute major ice cream brands across Northern Ireland.
PRM Group will distribute leading brands including Ben & Jerry’s, Cornetto, Carte D’Or, Magnum, Solero, Vienetta and HB to more than 1,000 independent retail operators and entertainment and tourism venues.
Philip Morrow, managing director of PRM, said: “We are delighted to be working with Unilever in distributing its product range to the retail, food service, leisure and tourism sectors throughout Northern Ireland using our state-of-the-art fleet of frozen vans.
“PRM will also be supporting Unilever’s development and marketing teams in order to optimise the potential for these international brands in Northern Ireland.”
Shay Leonard, a director of Unilever Ireland, said: “Unilever’s many years in the food industry have demonstrated to us the importance of having the best possible route to market, and we believe the PRM Group will ensure the very highest standards of distribution to our customers.
“Unilever is one of the world’s leading suppliers of fast moving consumer goods with strong local roots in more than 100 countries and our UK and Ireland portfolio includes some of the best known and most loved brands including HB and Wall’s ice cream.
“As we look forward to a busy summer season, this is an exciting time with excellent opportunities for both Unilever and the PRM Group in Northern Ireland.”
