Pub grub profits lift Greene King

Greene King is reaping the rewards of its push into pub dining with strong food sales figures.

The Suffolk-based brewer and pubs chain, which owns Hungry Horse, Old English Inns and Loch Fyne Restaurants, said like-for-like sales in its retail division rose 4.3% in the 1 weeks to Sunday, driven by a 4.7% rise in food.
