Record numbers turn out to support Barclay Communications’ race evening

Barclay Communications held their eight annual race evening at Down Royal Racecourse, where they achieved record attendance numbers with nearly 5,000 racing enthusiasts turning out to show their support.

Fresh from their Best Business expansion award win at the Belfast Business Awards, Barclay Communications' event on 27 May entertained 500 of Northern Ireland’s top businessmen and women within Down Royal’s new Hospitality Pavilion.

Some of their VIP guests included business leaders such as Ian Wilson, Wilson Dennison, Willy Corry, Laurence Martin and Joe Sloan.

UK business heads and partners from Crystal Ball and O2 (such as Darren Marsh and Simon Billington) also flew over to support the event and Northern Ireland’s only O2 Centre of Excellence.

Britt Megahey, Managing Director of Barclay Communications, said: “Our race evening is our biggest event of the year and it gives us the opportunity to really thank our clients for their custom, loyalty and support over the last year.

“This year’s event has also demonstrated how popular it’s becoming on the racing calendar and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the turn out among Northern Ireland’s racing enthusiasts. It’s a great result for Down Royal and for us.”

In the VIP area, Barclay Communications’ guests enjoyed dinner, drinks and hot racing tips from tipster Derek McKeague.

Then once the races were over, the guests got the opportunity to dance into the evening to live music from Fiddler Adam and others.
