Republic's foreign firms expanding
THERE are now more jobs available in the Republic at non-Irish companies than at any time since early 2011 when records began.
New figures show that employment in the foreign direct investment (FDI) sector has continued to grow for a tenth consecutive quarter.
Some 2,058 Irish jobs were available in these foreign-owned companies like Google (above) between June and September, an annual increase of 39%.
Jobs growth was especially evident in the science, engineering and supply chain fields, including chemical engineering.
A very strong demand for multilingual speakers was clear, especially German, Dutch and Norwegian.
