Seedups is blooming good
A North West firm, Seedups has been honoured as a top Irish-American small business at an event in New York.
The Londonderry-based company aims to connect tech-based entrepreneurs with high net worth individuals and investors.
Sponsored by the Irish Echo newspaper, the inaugural list of 50 businesses highlights everything from family operations to "gazelle" companies that drive the economy forward.
This is the latest high point in a busy year for Seedups.
Following the launch of the company in February for users in the Republic and the UK, it launched the service in America at the prestigious South by South West festival in Austin, Texas, in March.
Nearly 500 entrepreneurs have signed up to the operations since the launch.
Seedups founder Michael Faulkner said: "It's not only a great honour for myself and Seedups, but it's justification that the Seedups model works."
