Shopping centres could be sold in £2bn deals

Two major UK shopping centres are being eyed by overseas buyers in separate deals that value the assets at almost £2bn.

The Meadowhall shopping centre in South Yorkshire, one of the UK's biggest malls, has attracted the attention of sovereign wealth funds such as China's CIC, The Sunday Times said.

The Festival Place shopping centre in Basingstoke is also understood to be for sale for an estimated £300m.
