Businesses with a passion for supporting the arts have been urged to enter this year’s Allianz Arts & Business NI Awards.
The competition, sponsored by insurance company Allianz, recognises the important role played by the arts in the development of a successful business and in building communities
Six awards will be presented to businesses who are able to demonstrate to an expert judging panel they take a creative approach to developing mutually beneficial partnerships with the arts throughout Northern Ireland.
An additional award will be presented to a local arts organisation for excellence in arts management of the business relationship, and a new eighth award, which acknowledges the work of an individual within the private sector who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to sponsoring the arts will be voted for online.
Launching the awards in Belfast, director of Arts & Business, Mary Trainor, said: “The quality of submissions we receive every year is a reflection of the strength of the creative partnerships that exist between our business and cultural sectors.
“The continuation of these relationships in these tough times shows the real benefit there is to both parties.”
The deadline for completed nominations for the awards is September 6, with the awards ceremony to take place on January 20, 2011.
