Sir Jeffrey heads London investment mission to sing the praises of Lisburn and Castlereagh
A baking ingredients firm, engineers and a construction business were among the investors championing Lisburn and Castlereagh at an event in Westminster.
Lagan Valley MP Sir Jeffrey Donaldson led a delegation of 40 businesses from the area to take part in a special reception.
Potential investors attended to learn more about the area's virtues as an investment location from companies like Andrew Ingredients, McGreevy Engineering and Graham Construction.
Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council chief executive Dr Theresa Donaldson said: "The council is truly visionary on how the area should develop and this event forms part of our plans to champion Lisburn Castlereagh as a unique and premier investment location. Not only is this a vehicle for local SMEs to develop their external markets, it is a fantastic opportunity to profile our area to businesses considering relocation or new developments.
"Ideally positioned on the main Belfast to Dublin economic corridor, we are Northern Ireland's best connected city with quite a unique advantage over other cities. We are a great place to do business."
The council was also to meet Sprucefield Park owners INTU but said no meeting was lined up with John Lewis, the department store giant that has stepped back from plans to open up in the park.
