A Belfast IT company has been chosen to develop software aimed at helping get mums in London back to work.
ICONI Software has been selected to deliver the client management system for community group Women Like Us, to enable women to find employment and assist employers to find talented part-time workers.
Liam Jordan, managing director of ICONI Software, said that investment in research and development has paid off by securing new contracts outside Northern Ireland. "This is an important contract win for ICONI as it positions us as the leading provider of employability tracking software and builds on our recent success in delivering similar solutions across Scotland and the east of England," he said.
"We have invested a lot of time and resources to develop our unique software so that it can be tailored to meet the specific needs of organisations such as Women Like Us and we are currently expanding the team to deal with the growing interest in our products and services."
The new system will track an individual's 'journey to work'.
Women Like Us will use the software system to register, assess and engage their clients on their support programmes to encourage women back to work.
ICONI Software generates 70% of its turnover outside Northern Ireland and employs 10 people.
