Swan Housing deal a £2.1m feather in cap for Novosco
One of Northern Ireland's fastest growing IT firms has landed a £2.1m deal with a large housing association in England.
Novosco, which has been named one of the best firms to work for in the UK, will provide IT support services to Swan Housing, which manages more than 10,000 homes in London and Essex.
Managing director Patrick McAliskey said the "housing association sector has become very important to us, having developed considerable expertise in this area through a number of large contracts with some of the UK's biggest providers".
"We are delighted to win the business with Swan Housing and look forward to progressing the contract with their team," he said.
It is the latest in a series of large housing association sector contracts that the Belfast firm has won.
The deal comes after the Northern Ireland Science Park headquartered company landed a £2.5m contract with Metropolitan last year - one of the UK's largest housing associations - to provide infrastructure and network support services.
And it also secured a managed service contract with Manchester-based Northwards Housing.
Novosco has appeared in the last three years of the Sunday Times list of the best companies to work for.
And just last year it expanded its workforce - adding 50 new well-paid jobs.
Novosco provides cloud computing and IT services to a wide range of public and private sector customers, including the disaster recovery industry.
Suzanne Wicks from Swan Housing said the group was "really impressed with Novosco".
"Their bid was competitive and their knowledge and enthusiasm was evident," she said. "Their customer service excellence and investment in staff was a really good match for Swan's culture."
