Syncing feeling for our Facebook photographs

By Gavin McLoughlin

Facebook is to ask users to download its Moments app if they want to have their photos automatically synced from January, Techcrunch reported.

Previously users were able to have photos uploaded automatically from their smartphone to a private folder in Facebook. Now they will need to use the app if they want to continue to sync.

The move is a mirror of Facebook last year controversially asking users to download the Messenger app if they wanted to Facebook message their friends on mobile.

Previously synced photos will be available in Moments, Techcrunch said, and people who don't want the app will be able to download a zip file of their photos or can delete them through the main Facebook website.
