Telco launches small firms venture
A NORTHERN Ireland entrepreneur with over 25 years' experience in the telecommunications business has launched a new venture with his son aimed at helping small businesses.
OneKonect, established in Carryduff by Ian Jackson and his son Tim, is a new communications provider that aims to provide competitive tariffs along with the latest technology to small and medium businesses and small self-employed families across Northern Ireland with up to 25 handsets.
In establishing the company, Ian Jackson has drawn on his experience including his knowledge of the telecommunications sector, having successfully founded and operated Dunmorris Ltd, which profitably traded in the telecommunication industry before being sold to BT in 2005.
Ian Jackson said that telecommunications is 'vital' to small businesses.
"Telecommunications has come a long way in recent years and is becoming increasingly important in everyday life and business," he said.
OneKonect is an approved provider of O2, Three and Vodafone and offers a large selection of mobile phones as well as independent mobile phone advice.
