By Staff Reporter

Telecoms company Onecom is joining forces with the Irish Football Association (IFA) to launch the Onecom Business League. The five-a-side tournament begins on August 29 at Playball in Stormont, with 24 teams set to compete.

A pilot tournament was won by financial technology firm FinTrU in June.

Paul Lawther, head of Onecom in Northern Ireland, said: "Northern Ireland has world-class talent on the pitch and in the boardroom. The Onecom Business League will bring these worlds together and create a new element of competition between some of our top businesses."

Oonagh O'Reilly, sales and marketing director at the Irish FA, added: "This new Onecom Business League fits with our commitment to growing participation."
