TK Maxx moving out of Lisburn store to new retail park

By John Mulgrew

TK Maxx is moving out of its Lisburn city centre location to a new major business park, it has emerged.

The low-cost designer brand business is moving out of Bow Street Mall and moving to the new Laganbank retail park.

The firm's current location is now being advertised for rent.

"TK Maxx are moving to an edge of town retail warehouse location," it says.

Last month, the discount fashion retailer received the green light from Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council's planning committee for a new store in south Belfast.

It got the go-ahead despite objections from the city's council and a major shopping centre.

It's now due to be developed at Drumkeen Retail Park in south Belfast.

However, it drew significant objections from a number of businesses and groups.

This included Forestside Shopping Centre, which sits directly across from the Drumkeen Retail Park.
