Ulster company hoping to strike Olympic gold
A Co Londonderry firm is hoping that work on the Olympic Park for the London 2012 games will be a big boost for business.
FP McCann in Magherafelt, which manufactures precast concrete drainage systems, supplied a variety of products to three separate schemes as part of the project, including the BMX arena, the public realm and the environmentally sensitive wetlands area of the Olympic Park.
FP McCann managing director, Eoin McCann, said that the national coverage for the firm's plants has highlighted the company's ability to supply precast concrete products.
"To be involved in the Olympic build is extremely exciting," he said. "This high-profile contract provides a platform to reinforce the brand within our key markets."
