Uni website shortlisted for award

A novel new online business which helps students up-sticks to start a new life at university has been hailed for its originality.

Uni, which transports student belongings throughout the UK, Ireland and worldwide, has been shortlisted in the 'micro business' category in the Smarta 100 business awards.

The awards celebrate the most resourceful and inspiring small businesses in the UK.

Uni was founded by Paul Stewart in 2009 when he was studying at Edinburgh University and spending a fortune on excess baggage fees transporting his belongings back and forth from Northern Ireland.

Recognising a business opportunity, he created a door-to-door service that can deliver a 30kg bag from Northern Ireland to anywhere in the UK for as little as £18.99, and Europe from £29.

"The business has really grown over the last few years and I feel I've created a dynamic brand," said Paul. "I hope our customers and other local entrepreneurs will get behind us and vote at"
