A Co Fermanagh firm has created 35 new jobs in a £11m investment.

Enniskillen company Webtech specialises in the production of labels for the European soft drinks industry and serves a number of high profile customers including Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Nestle and all the major supermarkets.

Webtech currently employs 120 people at its premises in Killyhevlin Industrial Estate and prints over four billion individual labels a year, aiming to increase sales by £10m over the next four years.

The investment will see the company purchase two new printing presses and other equipment over the next three years.

It is also investing in a marketing campaign to develop its European sales of flexible labels.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered £767,000 of support for the investment.

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said that the company is focusing on export growth in Europe and North Africa.

"The new jobs will pay salaries well above the Northern Ireland private sector median and the new equipment will ensure that Webtech has the capacity and technology to retain its position as market leader," she said.

Webtech's managing director Nigel McSorley said that the factory has the most advanced flexographic printing presses in the world. "This investment enables us not only to expand capacity but to continue to innovate, and explore new technologies and materials so that we can respond quickly to changing customer requirements." he said.
