Which? ranks Electric Ireland top Northern Ireland provider

By Staff Reporter

Irish electricity provider Electric Ireland was ranked number one in a customer survey by consumer champion Which?

The company, which started operating in Northern Ireland in 2015, received an 80% score from customers in the survey.

Clare McAllister, sales and marketing manager at Electric Ireland, said: "Traditionally, people in Northern Ireland have been reluctant to change energy supplier. The survey supports the fact that there are clear benefits in switching."

Electric Ireland is the energy retail business of ESB Group.

The ESB Group owns and operates NIE Networks, Coolkeeragh ESB power station and five wind farm sites in the province.
