£17m Portrush facelift ahead of Open event
A £17m effort is continuing to regenerate Portrush for golfers and spectators ahead of next year's Open Championship.
And the Department for Communities said £0.5m would be spent on improving the frontages of businesses in the town.
Planning permission has also been obtained for regenerating the train station.
Joan Baird, the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, said: "This extensive regeneration programme will put Portrush in a fantastic position as the town prepares to host the biggest sporting event ever staged here."
