The Maldron Hotel Belfast International Airport has finished a £2m revamp of its conference and function rooms. The project follows on from the refurbishment of its standard rooms, lobby, Grain and Grill Bar and restaurant as well as an extension to its car park.

It will allow the venue, owned by SM Aldergrove Airport Hotel Ltd, to accommodate meetings and events for up to 250 people across seven conference suites.

Brian Tracey, general manager at the hotel, said the refurbishment was "helping oil the wheels of international commerce and drive the Northern Ireland economy".

He added that there were few other airport hotels which could be accessed within 30 seconds of a terminal building.
