£2m revamp of Belfast's Jurys Inn completed

By John Mulgrew

Some of Northern Ireland's top companies have helped complete a £2m revamp of a Belfast city centre hotel.

Jurys Inn at Great Victoria Street has finished a refurbishment of its 190 bedrooms, lobby, bar and restaurant.

The refurbished hotel includes furnishings from a number of Northern Ireland suppliers, including Balmoral Furniture and Ulster Carpets.

"The walls of Jurys Inn Belfast also feature new artwork from Northern Irish gallery Spires Art, presenting guests with pictures of famous local landmarks including the Harland & Wolff cranes, Belfast City Hall and Queen's University," Jurys said.

"The investment in Jurys Inn Belfast forms part of an extensive £75m investment programme which has been rolled out by the group over the last five years to ensure all facilities are of a consistently high standard and fully meet the needs of and expectations of guests."

Ryan Foster, general manager of Jurys Inn, added: "Following months of planning and hard work by our employees and business partners, we look forward to welcoming visitors to the revamped hotel and showcasing our upgraded facilities to both new and regular guests alike.

"In addition to an exciting new look, which we're very proud of, technology has been a key part of our refurbishment. This includes a dedicated connectivity area in the lobby and upgraded WiFi, as well as contactless door locks on all bedrooms, marking a significant enhancement in our customer service offering."

Jurys also includes five meeting rooms, which can accommodate up to 30 people.

The hotel chain said it had "significantly enhanced its technology offering", which includes high-speed broadband.
