840 jobs up for grabs at Co Antrim recruitment fair
Around 30 employers offering over 800 jobs and apprenticeships are to attend a jobs fair in Co Antrim this month.
The event on May 14 is being hosted by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and the Department for Communities.
Employers are expected to attend from sectors including industry, care, engineering, hospitality and construction, as well as support organisations and apprenticeship providers.
The event takes place at The Braid in Ballymena with employers available to answer questions and discuss training and employment opportunities.
As well as 700 job vacancies, there will be 140 apprenticeships on offer.
Councillor Lindsay Millar, Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, said: "Growing the economy is one of council's key priorities, and what better way to do that than getting key employers from key sectors under one roof to bring those opportunities to everyone in the borough?
"We're committed to helping optimise economic outcomes for businesses across the borough and increasing employment."

Chief executive Anne Donaghy said its officers would also attend to advise on support for enterprise available from the council.
Rachel Doherty, from electrical and mechanical engineering firm GES Group, which will also attend, said applications for its apprenticeship programme will be available at the event, as well as other engineering vacancies.
Colin Johnston ,from Galgorm Spa and Golf Resort, another of the employers who will be present, said: "As one of the largest employers within the local area, we are delighted to be attending this event to showcase various opportunities we have on offer.
