Family-owned restaurant business Moe's Grill is to create 30 jobs with a third outlet.

The chain is investing £900,000 in a new 6,000 sq ft eatery at The Boulevard retail complex near Banbridge in Co Down.

The restaurant is the second in a shopping complex owned by The Lotus Group. The Newry company bought The Boulevard and The Junction retail parks for around £40m in 2016.

Moe's Grill already runs outlets in Magherafelt and at The Junction outside Antrim.

Construction has started on the new restaurant, that will join existing food and beverage outlets including Linen Hill Kitchen and Deli, Starbucks and Costa. It's the latest business to open at the out-of-town shopping centre.

Alastair Coulson, managing director of Lotus Property, said: "The arrival of Moe's Grill closely follows the recent announcements of new retailers Radley, Suit Direct and Samsonite arriving to the centre, which again emphasises the continued growth at The Boulevard.

"We are proud to welcome a locally-owned family restaurant to the centre and are committed to providing the best retail and leisure experience to our customers."

Darren Clarke, director at Moe's Grill, said: "The transformation that has taken place at The Boulevard, from the rollout of the rebrand to the growing number of high-end retailers, made it an easy choice for us when we were considering a suitable location to open our third restaurant.

"There is a natural synergy between the typical shopper at The Boulevard and our target diner and we are looking forward to expanding and opening our new restaurant in this incredibly successful shopping destination."
