Aerospace firms urged to apply for investment
NORTHERN Ireland aerospace companies are being urged to apply to a corporate accelerator as the Aerospace Technology Institute and industry giant Boeing seek to invest £2m to boost innovation.
Led by European accelerator Ignite, the ATI Boeing Accelerator is looking for start-ups building solutions to bolster the growth and competitiveness of the UK aerospace industry.
Start-ups have until November 15 to apply. The programme will run two groups a year, each of them made up of eight to 15 start-ups. The first group will start in January for three months.
The scheme offers a £100,000 equity investment per start-up from Boeing HorizonX Ventures as well as first-hand access to Boeing and GKN Aerospace expertise, and other technical experts. A spokeswoman said "other benefits" would also be announced.
