Agri-tech firm Devenish Nutrition first to invest in new forklift
Belfast-based agri-technology company Devenish Nutrition has invested in new equipment which it says will improve its employee safety and operation efficiency.
It will be the first company here to introduce the two-tonne Combilift pedestrian stacker, made by Monaghan firm Combilift.
Denver Henderson, operational excellence manager at Devenish, said: "This equipment is both environmentally friendly and pivotal in helping us reduce the risk of accidental injury on site.
"Introducing the Combilift stacker is one step in a major investment programme that Devenish is rolling out to enhance operational efficiency and safety at production level over the coming months.
He added that the stacker's ability to handle smaller, awkward areas better than standard forklifts will "significantly increase safety".
