An amateur photography competition has been launched to mark the 175th anniversary of Belfast Harbour Commissioners.
‘Capturing a Port for Everyone’ runs until Monday, August 15 and aims to showcase the transformation of the city’s waterfront area in recent years through a public lens.
It will feature five categories, People, Port, Place, Under 16s and Professional.
Professional photographer Kelvin Boyes, owner of agency PressEye, will be a guest judge of the competition.
Allison Dowling, Belfast Harbour, communications and marketing director, said: “We often have photographers, visitors, tourists, and local people sharing incredible photographs of Belfast Harbour on social media, so we wanted our 175th anniversary celebrations to include something for them to take part in.”
Winners’ prizes include overnight stays in the AC Marriot Hotel at City Quays, Titanic Hotel and vouchers for photography equipment.
