Belfast staff at a UK-wide architectural firm are leading a major new project for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Co Armagh man Steven Lennon, associate and head of emergency services at HLM, will lead the redevelopment of fire station facilities at Crowthorne Community Fire Station.

The design team from HLM is handling the project, including interior and landscape design.

Mr Lennon said: "We are always delighted to work with RBFRS to develop leading fire stations in keeping with contemporary development in the sector.

"Crowthorne Community Fire Station will become a strong focal point for all, focusing on the technology requirements and response times for firefighters, and also considering the needs of the local community."
