Armagh metals boss in ban from boardroom

By Staff Reporter

The former boss of a metal manufacturing company in Co Armagh has been banned from the boardroom for four years.

Ann Parks (77) from Wyncroft Heights in Banbridge, accepted a directors' disqualification for misconduct after Annesborough Engineering in Lurgan went out of business owing around £250,000.

Her misconduct included allowing a banned director to act as a boss of the company, in the knowledge that they'd already been disqualified.

She has accepted that she had kept back nearly £106,000 which had been owed to the Crown, and failed to file accounts on time in 2010 and 2011. There were no accounts filed in 2012 and 2013.

Last month the Department for the Economy - which brings directors' disqualification procedures - said Clive Parks (73), another former director of the firm with the same address, had been disqualified for 14 years.
