Ballymena student one of top 100 'women to watch' in the United Kingdom
A Co Antrim business student has been ranked among the top 100 "women to watch" in the UK.
Sarah McBride is in the final year of her studies in international business with French at the University of Bath.
Sarah said that she was "very flattered" to have been nominated for The Tab Future 100 Women To Watch in 2018.
She said she was keen to reach the top 30 list which would mean an invitation to the London headquarters of leading global financial services firm JP Morgan.
After deciding on a business degree, the former Ballymena Academy pupil was determined to enter the Young Enterprise programme for schools, a move which saw her win a Young Entrepreneur of the Year title.
She went on to organise a technology conference in Belfast attended by 300 young people and a keynote speaker from Facebook.
More recently, she enjoyed an internship with Google in London and proceeded to spend a year on a placement in Paris with Withings, a company that specialises in wearable technology, working on transition of the brand when it was acquired by Nokia Health.
When she graduates, Sarah says that she may return to Belfast which she says is "becoming a really exciting place for technology for someone like me who has some experience and interest in that area".
